Introduction to Statistical Process Control (SPC)

This one day course clearly explains the basic principles of Statistical Process Control (SPC), teaches how to implement SPC and explains how to interpret SPC control charts in order to better monitor the production line and diagnose problems in manufacturing. Most manufacturers today are required by their customers to utilize SPC so understanding how it works is vital for everyone in the industry.

The course is an overview of SPC for everyone who is new to the subject. If you use SPC in your work, are curious about the meaning of SPC or are interested in implementing SPC, this course is for you.

The course includes a short historical summary, the principles of SPC, how SPC increases the quality of manufactured goods and effectively monitors the production line and aids in production control, variables control chars, attributes control charts. It also covers how to set-up a new SPC program, making and interpreting control charts and standard chart patterns and interpretation.
