Seminar Presenter Background Career includes a broad spectrum of professional responsibility and accomplishments as aa engineer, manager, author, trainer and board member of semiconductor organizations. His experience includes engineering in semiconductor chip manufacturing, semiconductor equipment and materials company management and marketing, business and legal consulting, and the design and presentation of training programs Van Zant founded Semiconductor Services Inc. where he designed and marketed training materials and training seminars for microchip manufacturers and their suppliers. He also Conducted market studies for suppliers to the semiconductor industry. He founded and manages Peter Van Zant Associates providing consulting, writing and training services for business and industry, Peter Van Associates and Semiconductor Services partner in providing training materials and services to the semiconductor industry.
Dr. Heynes is senior engineer/scientist with broad semiconductor industry experience in wafer fabrication, primarily. Since 1994, Dr. Heynes has been developing and delivering semiconductor-related courses. He was a senior technical instructor at LAM Research and continues to provide training services to LAM as a contractor. He has worked extensively with Semiconductor Services in writing scripts for training videos in the area of semiconductor manufacturing as well as reviewing and advising on content of technical articles. His industry experience includes management of engineering groups and small wafer fabrication operations. Dr. Heynes holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry. Anne Miller has been managing Semiconductor Services since 1989. She is responsible for training product development and also provides technical marketing services to semiconductor-related firms. Ms. Miller had been the product marketing manager of the Wafer Inspection Division of KLA Instruments Corporation. Before that she was the product manager for the Semiconductor Equipment Division of Cambridge Instruments. As one of the pioneers in the development of pellicles, Ms. Miller founded Micropel, a subsidiary of EKC Technology. Other experience was gained as a process engineer at Intel Corporation, and product development manager at JASCO Chemical Corporation. Before entering the semiconductor industry, Ms. Miller was a lecturer in the Chemistry Department at San Jose State University. She holds a junior college teaching credential in industrial technology, seventy post-graduate units in Business and Chemistry, and a B.S. degree in Chemistry. Ms. Miller has been a member of "Whos Who in the West" for many years. Rick Yanda is a senior industry instructor with extensive experience in developing and delivering semiconductor-related courses. He served as manager as the Process Training Department at LAM Research where he developed the department curriculum and served as senior technical instructor. As founder of Semiconductor Technology Training, he developed specialized industry training courses. Earlier in his career, Mr. Yanda was senior process engineer at Advanced Micro Devices, Cypress Semiconductor and INMOS Corporation. He also held the position of senior process engineer at Lam Research at for Lam Research and Matrix Integrated Systems. Mr. Yanda holds a B.A. in Physics and has completed numerous post-graduate technical courses.
